Finance Theory

The basic building blocks of finance theory lay the foundation for many modern tools used in areas such asset pricing and investment. Many of these theorectical concepts such as general equibrium analysis, information economics and theory of contracts are firmly rooted in classical Microeconomics. In this section, we illustrate thorugh the use of interesting examples, the economic logic underlying many common finance results. A firm appreciation of the foundational principles is essential to breakdown and critically analyse modern corporate behavior and financial markets.
